We are excited to feature these beautiful Utah Lake bridals by Utah wedding photographer Emma Matheson!

Emma says, "Lace gowns are popular right now, and I have seen a lot of dresses with the same lace. However I have never seen the lace on Melissa's gown and I loved how unique it is!"

Tibble Fork bridals with a modest wedding dress

We agree! Melissa's champagne modest lace wedding dress by Mia Solano is definitely unique, and is yet another example of how gorgeous modest gowns can be. The sheath silhouette is form fitting in all the right places and is extremely flattering on Melissa. The v-neck neckline accentuates her beautiful features.

Melissa told us a little about her love story:

"So when we first started dating, I had told my then boyfriend that I loved to hike and I showed him pictures of a place that I thought would be a cool place to hike. We continued to date and at the end of February, the weather had warmed up a little and he asked me if I wanted to go on a hike with him at Tibble Fork Resevoir, the place I had told him about when we first started dating. We started on the hike and we got to a spot that you could see the whole lake and I turned around to keep hiking and he was on one knee with a ring in his hand. It was the best day ever."

So cute! Thank you so much for sharing these Utah Lake bridals with us Emma!

We are so excited to share Sarah and Winston's Salt Lake Temple wedding today! You would think we get tired of wedding photos from the Salt Lake Temple, but we don't. Simply because every bride is so unique. Every dress is so different. And every photographer captures so many unique angles.

Real bride Sarah wore a custom built-up Casablanca Bridals gown from LatterDayBride in SLC. LatterDayBride has the largest selection of modest wedding dresses in the world, but sometimes a bride will fall in love with a strapless or sleeveless dress. No worries, though, because the amazing team at LatterDayBride and their vendors can do almost any customization you can think of, and just look at this gorgeous custom modest wedding dress they created for Sarah! The delicate illusion lace sleeves and lightly fringed sweetheart neckline are exquisite and frame Sarah's beautiful face perfectly.

Becky Reed of Ravenberg Photography was lucky enough to capture this Salt Lake Temple wedding. The gorgeous details of the temple grounds and unique perspectives she took are really spectacular. We especially love that the couple chose to not limit themselves to Temple Square. Their urban SLC shots are awesome, and we love to see couples think outside the box! Can you spot the Trax light rail train?? So fun!

I'm so excited to feature this gorgeous Laia Hawaii Temple wedding today on LDS Bride Blog! It's not every day we get to see such a gorgeous LDS destination wedding. Lauren and Jordan are such a beautiful couple, and their wedding day was captured beautifully by Sugar Rush Photo & Video

Laie Hawaii Temple | LDS Destination Wedding

Laie Hawaii Temple Wedding

I'll let Lyndi from Sugar Rush tell you all about these two...

The Engagement and First Look

"Where do I even begin. These two are some of the most warm, kind, FUNNY people you will ever meet in a lifetime, and this Hawaii wedding and the ten month - long engagement was absolute magic. Lauren wanted summery, golden, warm engagements, but when you do engagement pictures in November, that is almost impossible. But we hunted and hunted and after Lauren finished her makeup with Vivian Makeup Artist and they finished their Love Story interview with Rob,  the clouds parted in a western field off the freeway for the most summery winter engagements you've ever seen.

Flash forward seven and a half months, and it is 5:30 am in the Salt Lake airport. We are checking all TEN of our bags packed with the photo booth, flashes, cameras, and ten days' worth of swimsuits, and in bursts in a beaming, laughing, tired party of eight with at least half of them being redheads. And all is right in the world. This family is one of those families that you leave the wedding feeling like you are a part of it. They love you, snuggle you, and trust you, and we were all just so so excited to get the security line over with and arrive in Oahu six hours later. Rob and I, every single day, talk about how insanely LUCKY we are to have the job we have, with the clients we have, and this family and couple was no exception.

First, watch their adorable First Look video:

First Look Photos at the Laie Hawaii Temple

The first day we arrived in Hawaii, we braved the thunderstorms for the first look session at the Laie Temple, where they would be getting married in a day and a half. The clouds were perfect, daunting, and somehow, didn't soak us at all. The light was perfect, you could feel the buzzing excitement of Jordan getting to see his bride in her dress from LatterDayBride for the first time, and we were finally all here, ready for the party to start. His expression was priceless, they shed a few tears, and mom watched from a distance as we all teared up together as this couple looked at each other for the first time, in front of the place they would be married in for all time and eternity. Lauren's bouquet from Hawaii's amazing Heaven Scent Designs, paired with Jordan's JC Penney tailored suit and her incredible makeup done by Kayla Hooper created the perfect, high-end look for this incredible wedding. We chased the sunsets, just as Jordan and Lauren do, and found ourselves up against a palm tree at Sunset Beach, with them spinning and snuggling and laughing together as we filmed and photographed the worlds' most magical formal session ever created.

The next evening, all the family and friends that either lived in Hawaii or traveled from the mainland gathered at the beach to barbecue, swim in the ocean, make lei's for the wedding day, and learn to hula dance with the couple as professional hula-dancing family members from Hawaii taught the whole group. Somehow, we dodged the rain again, and soaked in the perfection of it all as we shot the event in the dress-code for the night: Boardshorts and bikinis. Perfect world."

Side Note: Lauren's dress by LatterDayBride was a Casablanca Bridal customized gown! She found a strapless dress and fell in love with it, and the amazing team at LatterDayBride and Casablanca made it into a beautiful modest wedding dress!

The Temple

"The wedding day came quickly and early, and as the misty Hawaiian clouds teased us, we headed to the beach house to shoot the girls getting ready together. Jordan and Lauren have both lost their fathers, so to symbolize and remember her dad, she wore her dad's wedding ring with hers and sewed a heart cut from one of his old shirts into the inside of her wedding dress. Final touches on hair and makeup were made, to be immediately refluffed with an impromptu pillow fight, and we all packed up and headed to the temple.

We were blessed enough to get to be in their sealing, and as they looked across at each other and at the two open chairs left intentionally open on each front row, you could feel the immense amount of love for each other and from each of their dads' presences in the room. Jordan and Lauren burst out the doors beaming, down of the stairs of the temple, through an aisle of family, friends, and thrown hibiscus flowers, and the day became a gigantic happy blur from there.

The Reception

The rest of the day was spent at Kahuku Farms filled with laughter, dance parties, #pineapplesandpriorities, and so much love. And clouds. But still, no rain. Jordan and Lauren were the most delightful newlyweds, who definitely knew how to party, and as the sun set and the stars came out, we all gathered under the gazebo to watch their first look video, shot two days before the wedding. The couple made their final exit through a tunnel formed by all their wedding guests, and drove away in their rental convertible to their happily ever after.

This Laie temple wedding and the reception at a pineapple farm was filled with love and the brightest excitement for the future, and we were so incredibly blessed to get to be a part and document so much magic between two incredible people. We loved working with every single Utah and Hawaii vendor, and left Oahu absolutely positive that this wedding, this weather, this couple, was absolute destiny. We have the best clients!"

We love the beautiful love story that accompanies today's blog featuring a Joseph Smith Memorial Building wedding and Salt Lake Temple shoot. The model, or "bride" for this promotional shoot for JSMB wore the timeless Catania gown by LatterDayBride and was styled and captured by Liz at Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography.

Joseph Smith Memorial Building Wedding | Catania Dress

Great Gatsby themed wedding

We can't say it much better, so I'll let Liz tell the story:

"I asked Laura (my sister) & Ryan to model for this session knowing they weren't officially engaged or anything, but that it was definitely headed that way. They were actually high school sweethearts who broke up when he left for his mission. She married while he was gone and then they found each other again shortly after she divorced. During this inspiration shoot Laura whispered to Ryan that she loved him for the first time since high school. They are now happily married and grateful for the experiences and life lessons that brought them together forever."

How romantic is that!?

Salt Lake Temple Wedding Photography

When we asked Liz about her inspiration for this shoot, she said,

"In conjunction with the giveaway, JSMB & I put together an inspiration shoot to create some beautiful eye candy for their marketing needs. LatterDayBride by Gateway Bridal provided the gorgeous gown, bridal accessories, and our groom’s attire. Cali Stott from Versa Artistry dolled up our model. And all of the incredible decor, florals, food, invitations, styling, etc. was done by the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. And let me just say that the dessert tasted even better than it looked, and it was pretty snazzy!

I’ve yet to see the movie, but I know the JSMB team had The Great Gatsby in mind for inspiration when they put this together. Their venue is perfect for this kind of lavish affair. They wanted dramatic, moody lighting. So I played around with several different lighting scenarios inside. And then the models and I returned to Temple Square later in the evening to catch some beautiful natural light outside."

We think you will agree, Liz knocked this shoot out of the park.
